We Won’t Enable Hate and Extremism

The members of PledgeNoHate.tech are companies who provide technology solutions and strategy to purpose-driven organizations.

We’re strategic consultants, system implementers, and technology builders, and we’re all in the business of enabling nonprofits and other for-purpose organizations to do their work more effectively.

The pledge is simple: We won’t do business with organizations who are engaged in hate or extremist activities.

Why PledgeNoHate.tech?

How do we define hate?

Impact organizations: nonprofits, educational organizations, philanthropists, and more, care about values alignment with all their partners.

Technologists supporting those organizations need a clear, consistent way to show that they’re living those values. Tax-exempt status, the usual entry point for “tech for good” programs, isn’t enough to know that an organization isn’t engaged in hate or extremist activity.

PledgeNoHate.tech provides a critical resource for both: an easy-to-use directory of technology companies who have committed not to do business with hate or extremist groups, and clear guidelines for the technologists who make that commitment.

PledgeNoHate.tech uses the Southern Poverty Law Center Extremist Groups list as the benchmark for our members’ commitment. It’s academically rigorous, it’s evaluated independently from any governmental administration, and it’s maintained and updated over time. It’s also free to access, so businesses can easily compare their current customer and prospect lists to the SPLC Extremist Groups list at any time.
